The key points of its strategy to achieve this are:
- Minimise waste by evaluating operations and ensuring they are as lean and efficient as possible.
- All machinery, boilers etc. are regularly serviced and maintained to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Actively promote recycling both internally and amongst our customers and suppliers. All our waste is collected by a specialist contractor for reuse/recycling.
- Economic and social governance, we use the Sedex supply chain assessment system with a view to help us promote a sustainable supply chain. We also take part in SMETA audits to further evaluate labour, health and safety, environmental performance, and ethics.
- Source and promote a product range that minimises the environmental impact of both production and distribution.
- Using recycled, recyclable, and biodegradable packaging. We have recently updated our packaging to use only paper-based tapes, biodegradable packing chips and paper void fill to minimise our use of plastics.
- Minimise greenhouse gas emissions generated by our activities. For example, all our electricity is sourced from 100% renewable supplies.
